Our primary home is in South TX on the Gulf of Mexico. KLCO Taos became our vacation home after we fell in love with the area. We enjoy visiting New Mexico and find new adventures no matter the season. There is always something going on and things to do year round.
We built KLCOTaos to share with our family and friends, as well as with you as a short term rental. Come visit & find out why it's called the land of enchantment.

Cool nights, bright days, views that make you stop in awe everywhere. There is the famous Taos Plaza, music festivals, art shows, great dining and shopping. Hiking, biking, golf, white water rafting, kayaking, fly fishing, museums and art galleries. Take a tour of Taos Pueblo, U.S.'s oldest continuously inhabited community, a must for history buffs
The house is situated on an acre and a half of land providing views of the mountains and mesa that change daily. Sunrises and sunsets paint the mountains and landscape colors usually seen only in movies or post cards
A 20 minute ride to The Plaza, Taos Pueblo, main shops, and golf course. A beautiful 35 minute drive to the world class Taos Ski Valley. The enchanted circle provides dozens of activities and places to visit. Angelfire, Red River, and other ski areas are all with in a one hour drive
The house is equipped with lightning fast internet through fiber optic cable. Radiant floor heating, smart lights, Nest thermostats and smoke detection as well as state of the art entertainment provide great creature comforts after a day of outdoor activity. Fire up a Netflix movie in the living room or bedrooms, listen to your favorite music through the TV sound bar or just sit on the porch and enjoy the nature. Relaxing is easy here, you may not want to go anywhere once checked in.
We love to cook at home and the kitchen is well equipped to prepare simple or hearty meals. Alternatively there are many great restaurants close by, too many to list here. World class NYC style pizza, local fare and fine dining can be found everywhere. Look for recommendations in our guest book or house manual. The kitchen is fully equipped including a 3/4 sized fridge, gas stove/oven and dishwasher, as well as a microwave.
Relax in the cozy living room. A smart flat screen TV with high speed internet provides great entertainment. The coffee table top lifts for a perfect place to enjoy an evening meal and movie. The sofa turns into full size queen bed with a memory foam mattress.
Bunk beds with a full on the bottom and twin on top can sleep 3 comfortably. There is a Vizio smart TV in the bedroom.

Get everyone ready for dinner or out the slopes on time with the extra shower.
Phillips Hue lights are installed in the kitchen and living room area. Use the pre programmed light scenes or paint the walls with your own color choices. Use your imagination! FaceTime, Google and the weather are at your finger tips. Nest thermostats and smoke/carbon monoxide detectors provide comfort and safety.
Take in the amazing views from the comfort of the front porch while enjoying your morning coffee or favorite happy hour refreshment. we've just installed our ski chair swing. retired from lift 6 at TSV.
840 sq. feet is actually quite spacious when planned out for maximum efficiency. 1.5 acres of land makes our lot feel open, uncrowded and very spacious. There are unobstructed mountain views from most windows in all the rooms.
Don't go home with a bag full of dirty laundry, get it all done before you leave.
We have a manual on hand for everything in the house. Print or virtual. Use all the technology, some technology or go old school. The choice is yours. We're always a text or call away for assistance

If flying Albuquerque is your best bet, its an easy scenic 3 hour drive to the house. All major car rentals are available. Santa Fe is 57 miles away. The Rail Runner train is a great adventure from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. https://www.riometro.org/
Getting to the ski hill in winter is relatively easy in good weather, snow tires and all wheel drive is recommended during storms or after a snow fall. There is a shuttle bus that can transport you to the hill from close to town, a great option if you dont have 4WD and it snows. Driving to the house does not require a 4WD.
